We tried the original Step II first, and while my dog was under the weight limit, we didn’t think about the width – and this matters for our bulldog who’s stance is much wider than an average 50 pound dog. After searching for ramps and steps I took a chance on the Pet Gear Easy Step II Extra Wide in hope that my dog would be comfortable using it. The specifics are: the dog is a large breed, 112lb 9 month old puppy (Irish Wolfhound) and the car is BMW X5.
